How to Transfer a .co.uk Domain to Cheap Host

Transferring a .co.uk domain is quick and straightforward. Unlike many other domain extensions, .uk domains do not require an authorisation code (EPP code). Instead, they use an IPS tag.

What is an IPS Tag?

An IPS tag (also known as a Registrar Tag) identifies the company managing your domain name. To transfer your domain, you simply change the IPS tag to your new provider.

IPS tags are used by domains managed by Nominet.

Which Domains Use IPS Tags?

IPS tags apply to all .uk domain extensions, including:
